Slovakia on Vespa 2017

Today we explored how comfy and time saving is to use car ferry to make shortcurt and avoid main roads. We took it from Strecno to Krasnany, from where we headed to village Terchova which is famous because of Janosik (1688-1713), highwayman who robbed nobles and gave the loot to the poor. He was executed in 1713 after he was caught and tortured.
Then we went to Zazriva to taste local produce made of sheep milk as Cheesy threads, natural sheep yoghurt.
Another point of interest was Museum of Slovak village in Zuberec, Orava region. It gave us knowledge how people lived and worked in 19. century. We learned how traditional pottery was made, how people used all local materials to survive winter and how important was their family. Unfortunately we missed traditional workshops held there every Wednesday. We had lovely lunch at Orava room restaurant where we had award winning national dishes as Bryndzove halusky (gnocchi with fresh sheep cheese on top with crispy bacon), Bryndzove pirohy (dumplings with potatoe & cheese filling) and crispy bacon on top, and Makove sulance (potatoes dumplings with sugar and poppy seeds). We were so full to find space in our stomachs for desserts.
After entertainment and food tasting we went to next pre-booked accommodation in Liptovsky Peter, Liptov region. Well, you will know more about Liptov in next post.

Dnes sme objavili ako usetrit cas cestovanim kompou a vyhnut sa tak hlavnej ceste s hustou premavkou. Isli sme kompou zo Strecna do Krasnian, odkial sme si to nasmerovali do dedinky Terchova, znamej hlavne kvoli zbojnikovi Janosikovi (1688-1713).
Potom sme sa presunuli do Zazrivej a tam sme ochutnali syrove nite a ovci jogurt.
Dalsiu zastavku sme mali v muzeu Oravskej dediny, ktora je urcite vsetkym znama. Tam sme si pripomenuli ako zili nasi predkovia v 19.storoci, cim sa zivili a ako vyuzivali dostupne zdroje. Taktiez ako si vazili rodinu a rodinny zivot. Tradicne remesla je mozne zazit na vlastnej kozi kazdu stredu. Na Orave sme nevynechali obed v Oravskej izbe, v Zuberci. Tu sme si dali vynikajuce Bryndzove halusky, Makove sulance a Bryndzove pirohy. Na dezert uz bohuzial neostalo miesto.
Dalsie vopred zjednane ubytovanie sme mali dohodnute v Liptovskom Petri na Liptove. Ale o Liptove uz zase neskor v dalsom prispevku.
